Eligible applicants include any individual whose paid or accredited role, training or certification is tied to the professional marine or water-based sector. This covers employees, contractors, freelancers, interns or owners of companies that design, build, distribute, sell, rent, charter, service or repair recreational or commercial vessels of any size, as well as their propulsion, electronic, safety, navigation, rigging, docking or accessory systems. It also extends to staff of marinas, boatyards, shipyards, ports and harbors; naval architects, marine engineers, surveyors and salvage crews; instructors or students in recognized maritime academies, sailing schools or dive schools; holders of credentials such as USCG licenses, RYA, STCW, ABYC, ASA, PADI or equivalent; and corporate, administrative, logistics, marketing or support personnel whose employer’s core business is demonstrably marine-focused. Documentary evidence might include a company ID, pay stub, certificate, license, sea service record, or training completion card.
