Eligible dependents encompass spouses, children, surviving spouses, Gold Star parents or children, and others who qualify for a DoD or VA dependent credential. Proof may be established with documents such as a DD-214, DD-256, NGB-22, separation or retirement orders, award citations, VA or VHIC card, Leave and Earnings Statement, W-2, 1099-R or other pay document from DFAS, USAA or Navy Federal account confirmation, enlistment contract, or similar paperwork that clearly demonstrates current or past military affiliation.
